Illawarra Aboriginal Medical Service (IAMS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service that provides holistic comprehensive health care to community members within the geographical footprint of Helensburgh NSW, to Bomaderry NSW.
IAMS continues to strive for further services and programs for the benefit of the community in which we serve, to which we currently deliver

• Dental Services of which is inclusive of dental care, as well as health literacy and prevention programs within schools.
• Community Services primarily deliver AOD, Crisis, mental health and family support to community, delivering case-management, 1:1 holistic support, advocacy, referral supports and the establishment and consistent deliver of programs that are developed with community, for community.
• Health Services Team continues to grow delivering care through General Practitioners (GPs), Allied health specialists, a skilled Aboriginal health workforce and the IAMS Integrated Team Care (ITC) program of which is renowned for the model of care that supports community with their chronic disease management and supports of accessibility to specialists that don’t bulk-bill.

Overall, the IAMS endeavor to continue expanding the services both clinically and program based for the continual preventative and management of health of the community.
